The indie movie Microhabitat tells the unique story of Miso, a young woman who works diligently as a housekeeper to make ends meet. Struggling to survive in a harsh economic climate, Miso finds comfort in just two daily pleasures: smoking cigarettes and drinking a glass of whiskey. These simple habits are what keep her going through her tough routine. However, when the government suddenly doubles the price of cigarettes and her rent continues to rise, Miso faces a difficult financial crisis. Instead of giving up her beloved vices, she makes an unconventional decision. Miso decides to give up her house entirely to afford her cigarettes and whiskey. Carrying only her suitcase, she embarks on a journey, visiting old friends to ask for a place to sleep. This bittersweet movie plot explores friendship, modern housing crises, and personal freedom as Miso seeks her own microhabitat in a busy world.
