March Comes in Like a Lion begins with some Polaroids of a young boy and a young girl. A female voice over tells us who these people are, explaining that they are brother and sister, she is seven and he is eight. She goes on to say that they share an unbreakable bond, one that blurs the lines of conventional family relationships as they grow older. Years later, after the brother suffers from memory loss due to an accident, the sister seizes the opportunity to redefine their connection. She decides to hide their true sibling relationship, pretending instead to be his romantic partner.
