Description:

Man in Charge delves into the intricate world of government advisory through Master Yau Kung, a skilled mentor. He secures a position for his principled foster son, Bing, within officialdom. Bing, finding the bureaucratic rules intolerable, initially remains idle, often frequenting a tavern where he develops feelings for the owner, fueling the jealousy of his wife, Yuk Hing.

Yau Kung later recommends Bing to advise the new government official, Gwun Bok, fostering a strong friendship between them. The plot thickens when Bing uncovers a shocking truth: his respected master, Yau Kung, is secretly Gwun Bok's father. To protect this hidden identity, Gwun Bok deviously uses Yuk Hing to eliminate Bing. The ultimate betrayal unfolds as Bing discovers his own wife is an Imperial spy, adding a treacherous layer to the political intrigue and exposing the perilous depths of deception within the establishment.
