Maku ga Agaru is an inspiring high school drama about passion and friendship. The story begins in a small prefectural city, where Saori, a high school girl who adores plays, serves as the president of a struggling school theater club. Her fellow members include Yukko, who has a princess personality, the energetic moodmaker Garuru, the level-headed Akemichan, and Nakanishi, a transfer student. Although their club adviser Mizoguchi-sensei knows nothing about drama, their lives change completely when they meet Yoshioka-sensei. A new teacher graduated from Tokyo and celebrated as The Queen of Student Theater, Yoshioka-sensei inspires the group. While Saori and her friends initially plan to enter a local theater competition, Yoshioka-sensei pushes them to aim higher. She challenges the club to compete in the national competition with the classic play Night on the Galactic Railroad, sparking an unforgettable journey of growth, teamwork, and artistic dedication.
