Made in China is a compelling drama that follows the desperate journey of a Chinese man, Chen (Park KiWoong). When mercury is detected in the eels he exports to South Korea, the shipment is ordered to be discarded. This devastating blow causes Chen's father to collapse from shock. Determined to save his family's livelihood, Chen illegally enters South Korea on his father's behalf. He heads straight to the Korea Food and Drug Administration to demand a reexamination of the cargo. There, he meets Mi (Han ChaeAh), an employee at the department. Their encounter sparks a tense and emotional struggle against a rigid bureaucratic system. This movie offers a powerful look at human desperation, justice, and the hidden costs of global trade.
