"Macau Family" traces the poignant journey of the Liang family, owners of the esteemed Liang Kee Bakery, set against Macau's historic return to China. In the 1980s, Liang Ding Wen inherits the bakery, but his new role is overshadowed by family tragedy and financial woes. His wife, Song Man Qin, is forced to sell their ancestral home to Su Yao Qing. Misunderstanding her actions, Liang Ding Wen unjustly banishes his wife, believing she succumbed to Su Lin's manipulations.

Years later, Song Man Qin and Su Lin return. As Macau transitions in 1999, the Liang family begins to rebuild. The grown children, including Liang Shu, navigate their own paths, with architect Wen Yang falling for Liang Shu after moving into their home. The bakery then confronts unprecedented challenges from fierce competitors and Macau faces a severe financial crisis. Amidst these struggles, the families must reconcile their past differences to protect their legacy and secure their future.
