In the summer of 2015 in Tokyo, Japan, Ryoichi is a timid salaryman working at a musical instrument parts company. Although he once dreamed of becoming a punk rocker, he now lives a quiet life. He has feelings for her but he cannot tell her how he feels. His life takes an unexpected turn after a fateful meeting with a turtle on a department store rooftop. Ryoichi names the turtle Pikadon and adores it, but his coworkers laugh at him. In a moment of frustration, Ryoichi throws Pikadon into the toilet, instantly regretting what he did. However, the turtle goes through the sewerage and meets an old man who lives underground. Something then happens that will change their lives forever. Love and Peace is a whimsical fantasy film about lost dreams, regret, and the magical power of second chances.
