In the film Library Wars: Book Of Memories, Iku Nana Eikura joins the Library Defense Force after a member retrieved an important book targeted for censorship. She is assigned to work under Atsushi Junichi Okada. Despite enduring his harsh treatment, Iku searches for her savior while growing attracted to Atsushi. At the library, Iku meets Marie Tao Tsuchiya, a high school student with a hearing disability, and senses Marie's strong feelings for her childhood friend, Mikihisa Kei Tanaka. Meanwhile, Asako Chiaki Kuriyama, a clerk for the Library Task Force, has frequent meetings with curator Shuji Aoi Nakamura. This creates complicated feelings for Hikaru Sota Fukushi. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Mikihisa Kei Tanaka is arrested for recommending a book to Marie Tao Tsuchiya under the official reason that it is unsuitable for disabled people. This arrest deeply angers the members of the Library Task Force.
