Legend of Fei unfolds an epic narrative beginning with a secret imperial decree. Years ago, the emperor commanded the hero Li Hui to establish a mountain stronghold, comprised of bandits, as a means to control the unpredictable pugilist world. After Li Hui's passing, his strong-willed daughter, Li Jin Rong, assumes leadership of the stronghold. She later marries scholar Zhou Yi Tang and gives birth to their daughter, Zhou Fei.

Growing up, Zhou Fei yearns for freedom, her numerous attempts to escape the stronghold always ending in failure. Yet, on her sixteenth birthday, Li Jin Rong finally permits her daughter to leave and experience the world outside. During her very first successful escape attempt, Zhou Fei is saved from drowning by Xie Yun, leading to their fateful reunion. Together, they embark on an adventurous and challenging journey across the vast and intricate Wulin, uncovering its mysteries and facing its dangers.
