Kyou no Hi wa Sayonara is a touching drama about Kota Satoshi Ono, an ordinary young man with a loving family, including his supportive father, a cooking-loving mother, and a bright older sister. He also shares a deep bond with his girlfriend, Etsuko Fumino Kimura. Aspiring to make delicious food for others, Kota begins working as an apprentice chef. Diagnosed with malignant lymphoma by Doctor Murayama Kyusaku Shimada, Kota enters a long battle for survival. During his extended hospital stay, he connects with other patients who profoundly change his perspective on life. This emotional story highlights his family's desperate efforts to hold onto him during his final days.
