Kokoro ga Pokkito ne is a heartwarming romantic comedy-drama about healing and unexpected connections. After suffering severe mental stress from overwork, Kojima Haruta loses his job, home, and wife, Shizuka. Hit rock bottom, Kojima finds a second chance as a furniture restoration craftsman at Rio Bonito, an antique shop owned by Otake Shin. While Kojima tries to rebuild his life with help from the Shirakami Mental Clinic and quirky coworkers like Itoyama Fumi, he crosses paths with Hayama Miyako, a troubled woman with a history of stalking the men she falls for. Miyako is currently infatuated with Otake, the man who once helped her on the street. Unbeknownst to Miyako, Otake is actually dating the intelligent Shizuka, who happens to be Kojima's ex-wife. As these four damaged souls cross paths under a cherry blossom tree, they become entangled in a bizarre love quadrangle.
