In Kinkyuu Torishirabeshitsu S2, detective Makabe Yukiko returns to the First Investigative Divisions Emergency Investigation Response Team, famously known as Kintori. Alongside her idiosyncratic veteran colleagues, Yukiko tackles a bizarre new case when 28 year old deliveryman Komaki Shusuke is found dead of drug poisoning inside his delivery van. Curiously, he died holding an open umbrella inside the vehicle. The mystery deepens when an elderly widow, Shirakawa Tamiko, confesses to the police. However, Tamikos memory quickly becomes fuzzy, and none of her fingerprints match those inside the van, nor is the poison found in her home. As Kintori takes charge of the interrogation, Yukiko faces an unexpectedly tough psychological battle. Struggling to distinguish truth from lies, Yukiko must navigate Tamikos elusive behavior to find a foothold. With Tamikos real intentions shrouded in a dense fog of mystery, can the expert interrogator solve the puzzle and uncover what really happened?
