Set during the Song dynasty, the historical drama King Maker follows the intense and greedy battle for the throne between the first prince, Kwai Sing, and the second prince, Kwai Wo. Guiding them in this deadly political game are advisors Yu Jing and Tung Chiu, who share a deep, long-standing mentor-friend relationship. However, family tragedies loom large. Years ago, Yu Pok Man, the father of Jing, brought ruin to his family, separating Jing from his siblings. His brother Yu Tsing was cruelly deceived into becoming an imperial eunuch, while his sister Yu Ching lost her memory, later being adopted by triad leader Fan Chiu Lun and cared for by Yim Sam Leung. As the power struggle intensifies, the scheming Yeung Chi San and his sister Consort Wai stop at nothing to secure the crown for Kwai Wo. Yet, in this treacherous court, they are far from the only villains, as hidden enemies with even darker motives await.
