Description:

In the intriguing film Japanese Girls Never Die, Haruko Azumi is a 28-year-old woman living a mundane life while working in a small office. Seeking connection, she enters an awkward, loveless half-relationship with an old school friend who works at a convenience store. Following her sudden disappearance in 2015, her missing person poster becomes an urban sensation. Meanwhile, two parallel storylines unfold in the city. A violent gang of rogue schoolgirls begins attacking men at night, spreading chaos. At the same time, another young woman named Aina gets involved with two graffiti artists while looking for love with either one of them. These artists create a prominent stencil from Haruko Azumi’s disappearance poster, turning her image into a widespread symbol of rebellion.
