Inu wo Kau to Iu Koto is a touching family drama starring Ryo Nishikido as Yuji Hongo, a former aspiring musician turned human resources manager living near the Tokyo Sky Tree. Yuji’s stressful job of laying off employees takes a devastating turn when he is unexpectedly laid off himself. Meanwhile, his wife Sachiko, played by Asami Mizukawa, works exhausting part-time jobs to support their family of four.
