Description:

"I Live in Cheongdam-dong" tells the story of Kim Hye Ja, an ordinary housewife from the countryside, who has always yearned to live in Seoul's affluent Cheongdam-dong, Korea's equivalent to Beverly Hills. Her chance arises when a friend, who owned a comic shop in Cheongdam-dong, dies unexpectedly. Kim Hye Ja quickly moves her entire family into the deceased friend's old, dilapidated apartment located on the second floor above the shop.

This move seemingly fulfills her lifelong dream of becoming a coveted Cheongdam-dong resident. However, their new home is far from the luxurious lifestyle associated with the neighborhood; it's an old, broken-down space. The family soon discovers that merely changing their address doesn't change their reality or elevate their status. The story vividly portrays their humorous yet poignant struggles to navigate life amongst the wealthy residents, exploring the fascinating contrast between aspiring for riches and maintaining one's genuine identity.
