Description:

In the heartwarming drama Hula Girl to Inu no Choco, Morita Sae fulfills her dream of becoming a hula girl at the Spa Resort Hawaiians, supported by her family and her pet dog, Choco. However, her peaceful life is shattered on March 11, 2011, when the devastating Great East Japan Earthquake strikes. While her family survives, they are forced to evacuate, and Choco goes missing. Heartbroken by the disappearance of her loyal companion who always comforted her during hard times, Sae struggles to find hope. Encouraged by instructor Yoshimoto Minako, Sae and her fellow dancers, including Takezawa Kasumi and Shimano Hikari, resolve to heal through dance. They embark on the Hula Girls National Kizuna Caravan, performing free shows at evacuation centers and nationwide. Together, they transform their grief into smiles, striving for Fukushima's rehabilitation and the resort's reopening despite facing unimaginable adversity.
