Description:

Hikikomori Sensei introduces Ueshima Yohei, a resilient hikikomori survivor who spent eleven years isolated from the world. Three years after breaking free from his room, Yohei has opened a successful yakitori restaurant with significant help from locals, though he is still actively reintegrating into society. A surprising turn occurs when Principal Sakaki Tetsuzo from a local junior high school offers him a part-time lecturer position. The principal specifically seeks someone with a history of withdrawal, believing Yohei's unique background will enable him to effectively reach and assist truant students struggling with similar issues. Despite his own ongoing journey of social re-engagement, and with the heartfelt support of his community, Yohei eventually makes the courageous decision to embrace this new teaching role. The film follows his inspiring efforts to connect with the students, heal from his past, and find new purpose in guiding others towards a more connected future.
