Description:

Hard Core follows Gondo Ukon, an antisocial gold miner living deep in Gunma Prefecture's mountains. His only friend and partner is Ushiyama, a fellow miner whose collaboration with Ukon was arranged by a mysterious individual. Meanwhile, Ukon's younger brother, Sakon, navigates a conventional life working at a trading company. Sakon is constantly worried about his older brother's unconventional existence, yet he also secretly envies Ukon's perceived carefree lifestyle. Their lives take an unforeseen turn when Ukon and Ushiyama discover an old, inactive robot at an abandoned factory where Ushiyama resides. Upon examining the discarded machine, Sakon quickly uncovers its remarkably advanced performance capabilities, hinting at a future far more extraordinary than any of them could have imagined.
