In GTO 2012, Onizuka Eikichi, a former legendary bike gang member, visits Meishu Academy as a part-time gardener through the introduction of his friend Danma Ryuji. While working, Onizuka discovers that Yoshikawa Noboru, a student in the class of teacher Fuyutsuki Azusa, is being bullied by Uehara Kyoko and other classmates. Onizuka steps in, befriends Yoshikawa, and saves him using visceral and powerful problem-solving methods. Witnessing his unprecedented impact, the school president and principal, Sakurai Yoshiko, overrides the fierce resistance of her vice principal Uchiyamada Hiroshi to hire Onizuka as a teacher.
