The live-action drama series GTO, based on the popular manga and anime by Fujisawa Tohru, serves as a sequel to Shounan Junaigumi, also known as Shounan Love Gang. The story follows Onizuka Eikichi, played by Sorimachi Takashi, a former motorcycle gang leader and third-rate university graduate who dreams of becoming a school teacher. When an eccentric director hires him, Onizuka is tasked with teaching a hopeless group of troublemakers. Using highly unconventional methods, he faces heavy opposition from both rebellious students and skeptical teachers. However, Onizuka’s genuine passion for his students and his unique approach to life gradually break down their walls, proving to everyone that he has the true makings of a great teacher.
