Description:

Green Fish is a poignant melodrama depicting the pain, love, and hardships of an innocent young man named MakDong in a violent, industrializing society where family values vanish. After finishing his military service, MakDong heads home but misses his train after saving MiAe from harassing gangsters. He returns home carrying her rosy scarf, only to find a cold welcome from everyone except his big brother with polio. Dreaming of managing a good restaurant to bring his family together, MakDong travels to Seoul to find work and return MiAe’s scarf at the nightclub where she sings. However, MiAe is the mistress of the gangster Bae TaeGon. She helps MakDong secure a job through TaeGon in a parking lot. Soon, the innocent youth is drawn deep into a dangerous family of violence, setting off a tragic chain of events.
