Description:

In the heartwarming drama Gou Gou The Cat, Asako is a popular manga artist living in Kichijōji Tokyo. Her days are filled with the constant pressure of meeting strict deadlines until tragedy strikes, and her beloved pet Saba suddenly dies. Stricken with grief, Asako falls into a severe creative and personal slump, unable to draw or even eat. Her editor Omori tries to help by suggesting she move to a new house, but the change of scenery fails to lift her spirits. Asako remains lost in her sorrow until she takes a walk in Inokashira Park. There, she encounters a homeless person holding a critically sick kitten. Determined to help the animal, Asako secretly takes the cat to a hospital without telling the owner. This fateful decision begins to change her life.
