In the romantic comedy series Good Morning Call, Yoshikawa Nao anticipates an exciting period of independence when her parents leave to inherit her grandpa's farm in the country. However, her dreams of living alone are shattered on the day she moves into her new apartment. Nao discovers that the unit was also rented to Uehara Hisashi, a cute, supercool, and popular guy from her school. To make matters worse, their housing agency unexpectedly closes down, and the landlord tells them they must pay more for the apartment than anticipated. With no money and no home to return to, Nao and Hisashi are forced into a sudden dilemma. They ultimately decide to live together as flatmates to share the costs. This unexpected cohabitation forces the two classmates to navigate their contrasting personalities, budget constraints, and the challenges of keeping their secret living arrangement safe from the watchful eyes of their school peers.
