Description:

Set in the late 1950s, Frontier of Love is a touching historical romance drama that follows the emotional journey of Wen Yi Qiu, a student at the Beijing Broadcasting Institute played by Yin Tao. She falls deeply in love with a Soviet announcer named Wei Ka, and the two eventually marry in Beijing. However, their happiness is short-lived when geopolitical tensions force the Soviet Union to withdraw its specialists, forcing Wei Ka to return to his home country. Devastated but determined, Yi Qiu relocates to the remote frontier town of Hehei to work as an announcer, desperately trying to stay as close to her husband as possible. Soon after, Wei Ka secures a broadcasting post in Blagoveshchensk, the city just across the border. Separated by national boundaries but united by airwaves, the couple finds solace in listening to each other's daily broadcasts, holding onto the hope that relations will eventually heal and bring them back together.
