Fictitious OL Diary opens on a universally relatable scene: a gloomy Monday morning signaling the start of another week. We follow our protagonist, a diligent office lady, as she battles her sleepiness to meticulously apply her makeup, preparing for her demanding job at a bank. Her daily routine unfolds as she navigates the crowded subway, a microcosm of urban life, packed with fellow commuters, until she disembarks at the station closest to her workplace. A moment of connection brightens her morning when she meets Maki Fujikawa, her closest colleague, right there at the subway station.
