Description:

Familia centers on Kamiya Seiji, a solitary pottery craftsman living in a serene mountain village. His son, Kamiya Gaku, an engineer working for a large company in Algeria, returns to Japan with his fiance Nadia for a visit. Gaku reveals his desire to abandon his engineering career and follow in his father's footsteps as a pottery craftsman, a notion Seiji strongly opposes.

Meanwhile, Marcos, a Brazilian neighbor, finds himself drawn to Seiji. Having once been rescued by Seiji from a criminal gang, Marcos sees a reflection of his own late father in the craftsman and develops a keen interest in learning pottery. The narrative takes a poignant turn when Kamiya Gaku and Nadia, upon their return to Algeria, experience an unexpected and profound tragedy. This devastating event forces the characters to confront their individual paths, redefine their understanding of family, and explore the true meaning of legacy and human connection amidst adversity.
