Description:

Drifting opens as Fai, recently released from jail, navigates the unforgiving city streets. He finds momentary solace and a sense of community among other homeless individuals, carving out a fragile existence on a shared street corner. This newfound peace, however, is brutally short-lived.

The quiet dignity of their lives is shattered when police forcefully disperse the group, their meager belongings callously swept into a garbage truck. Displaced and stripped of their few possessions, Fai and his friends face an immediate battle for survival on the streets.

Witnessing this injustice, young social worker Ms. Ho believes it's time to challenge the system in court, advocating for the rights of the city's most vulnerable. While Ms. Ho prepares for a legal fight for justice, Fai and his companions must contend with the harsh realities of homelessness, searching for food, shelter, and a shred of dignity amidst the urban landscape. The film explores their parallel struggles: Ms. Ho's legal crusade against systemic indifference, and Fai's daily quest for basic survival, highlighting the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
