Description:

In "Double Duty," during the final stages of the Liberation War, Captain Zhuang leads a small PLA unit on a critical pursuit of a retreating Nationalist regiment. Their target, Heishan Temple, harbors a serious threat: a contagious disease has rapidly spread among the Nationalist soldiers. Disguised as medical assistants, Zhuang's team infiltrates the temple with a "Double Duty" mission. They must assist Dr. Wei, a local physician captured by the Nationalists, to treat the sick and contain the dangerous outbreak. Concurrently, they meticulously map the temple's hidden tunnels to facilitate the rescue of any Nationalist soldiers wishing to defect. This high-stakes operation combines medical intervention with covert military objectives, challenging the team to navigate both the spreading epidemic and the dangers of war.
