Dokugan Hanayome Dochuu SP is a hilarious and heartwarming comedy set in Dokuryu Town, a declining community near Sendai City. To revitalize the town, mayor Ono Kozo seeks ideas from local youth. Ito Tojiro, a timid sake brewer, suggests reenacting the historic bridal procession of the One-Eyed Dragon Date Masamune and his bride, Megohime. Tojiro secretly plans to play Masamune to propose to his childhood friend, Otokozawa Miki. However, the event faces disaster when rowdy male fans scare away all the women. Left with no choice, Mayor Ono insists that the remaining men must cross-dress to save the festival. Only five men, including Tojiro and Ono, stay to undergo rigorous training in makeup, feminine behavior, and dance based on Masamune's teachings. As the big day arrives, the male bridal procession descends into extreme chaos, putting the town's future and Tojiro's romance on the line.
