Although a planned museum visit is missed, they explore Hellfire Pass, their travels underscored by the sounds of construction and the imagery of rushing train tracks. From a city where actors mimic animal sounds to the historic Death Railway leading back to urban life, the film skillfully weaves together diverse places and moments, suggesting that the true picture is not singular, but a rich, multifaceted tapestry of time and perception.
