Description:

In the crime drama Chief - Keishichou IR Bunsekishitsu, construction company CEO Togane Takichi is shot dead in Nishi Shinjuku, Tokyo. The sole eyewitness, Odagiri Naoto, refuses to cooperate because police previously ignored his claims of seeing his deceased wife, Chiharu, alive. Fukamachi Kotaro and Izumoto Noriko from the newly established IR Analysis Office are tasked with handling Odagiri. They utilize Tokyo surveillance cameras and GPS trackers to investigate, quickly uncovering a secret past connection between Chiharu and Togane in Numazu. Despite being ordered off the case by First Investigative Division head Nitta Yukihiko, Fukamachi and Noriko dig deeper. They discover that a hairstylist named Nakatani Asuka has been impersonating Chiharu. Meanwhile, the murder investigation shifts toward a Vietnamese suspect with a red star tattoo. As detectives reveal Odagiri's own mysterious travel history to Vietnam and the suicide of Asuka's father there, they must uncover Asuka's true motives for approaching Odagiri and expose his ultimate intent in this gripping investigation.
