Description:

The compelling police drama Career follows Toyama Kinshiro, a 30-year-old newly appointed police chief at Kitamachi Police Station. Kinshiro firmly believes his ultimate mission is to listen to the voices of innocent citizens and protect the peace in his community. While he initially comes off as aloof and quirky, he actually possesses brilliant investigative instincts, spotting hidden clues that no one else can detect. Unlike his elite career bureaucrat colleagues, Kinshiro refuses to dress or act like a stereotypical chief. Instead of sitting behind a desk, he goes out into the town to do the hard investigation work himself. He is willing to go the extra mile to solve any crime, regardless of how small or trivial it may seem. However, his unorthodox approach to law enforcement generates a lot of antagonism from his subordinates at Kitamachi Police Station.
