Description:

"Blue, Painful, and Brittle" follows Kaede, a university student struggling with poor social skills, as he encounters Akiyoshi Hisano, a captivating classmate. Hisano, an idealist who dreams of ending wars and bullying, possesses a unique perspective and a noticeable lack of common sense. Despite their contrasting personalities, both are outsiders, and they bond over a shared ambition to change the world. Together, they establish Moai, a secret club dedicated to their grand mission.

However, their idealistic journey takes a somber turn when Hisano suddenly vanishes without a trace. In her absence, Moai undergoes a drastic transformation, evolving into a successful job-finding club that rapidly expands in size, completely diverging from its original purpose. Disheartened by this shift, Kaede contemplates abandoning the club altogether. Yet, an enduring spark of their initial dream, fueled by his bond with Hisano, compels him to reconsider. He ultimately resolves to reclaim Moai and steer it back towards the world-changing mission he and Hisano first envisioned.
