Armed Reaction is a classic Royal Hong Kong Police drama set before the 1997 Handover, following the lives of two distinct policewomen. Chu SoNgo, a carefree desk-duty officer, sees her comfortable life shatter when her husband leaves her for a mistress. To support her son, SoNgo transitions to demanding beat duties for better pay. There, she forms a deep bond with Senior Inspector Chan SiuSang, though their budding romance is complicated by her ex-husband's sudden return. Meanwhile, SiuSang’s ambitious tomboy niece, Chan SamYuen, joins the force as a rookie. Her eager attitude clashes with her superior, Ching Fung, but their constant bickering eventually blossoms into love after Fung's girlfriend leaves him. The drama intensifies when SiuSang is framed for a crime he did not commit, forcing SamYuen to make a difficult choice between her duty to arrest her uncle or allowing him to escape to find the real culprit.
