Description:

In the gripping Japanese drama Anata niwa Watasanai, Kamishima Michiko leads a peaceful life as a fulltime housewife with her husband Shunpei and their two children. Shunpei is the son and chef of a distinguished family running a traditional Japanese restaurant. However, Michiko’s world is shattered when Yahagi Tae suddenly appears, claiming to be Shunpei’s lover of six years. Tae presents signed divorce papers and reveals that Michiko’s late mother-in-law even welcomed their affair. To make matters worse, Michiko discovers that the family restaurant is heavily in debt and on the brink of bankruptcy. Confronted with these painful truths, Michiko makes a daring decision. She forces Tae to buy out her marriage papers for 60 million yen. Instead of walking away defeated, Michiko resolves to become the new proprietress of the traditional Japanese restaurant, using the money to put the struggling business back on track and rebuild her life on her own terms.
