Description:

The film "Air Girl" follows Komari Sano, whose childhood dream of becoming a pilot was sparked by her parents' Tokyo factory, manufacturing aircraft parts. Her world was irrevocably shattered during World War II when her older brother died as a kamikaze pilot and her parents perished in the Tokyo bombing, leaving Komari an orphan under her aunt's care at a traditional high-end ryotei. With all aerial activities initially banned in post-war Japan, Komari's aspirations seemed grounded forever. Yet, a new dawn emerged as Sizuo Matsuki, the Civil Aviation Bureau's security chief, successfully spearheaded the launch of civil aviation after arduous negotiations. Seizing this chance to reconnect with her passion for the skies and build a new future, Komari Sano applies for a cabin attendant position, ready to take flight amidst a nation's reconstruction and her own journey of healing.
