Description:

Based on the novel by Harumi Shimoda, Ai wo Kou Hito is a powerful drama exploring the cycle of abuse. The story follows Terue, who suffered physical abuse as a child because her mother, Toyoko, did not know how to love. Consequently, Terue grew up hungry for affection but struggled to understand how to be loved. Years later, Terue is raising her high school daughter, Migusa. When she reunites with Takenori, her brother separated from her at birth, painful memories of her miserable childhood resurface. Supported by Migusa, Terue decides to travel to Taiwan to search for her late father's grave. After meeting Toyoko there, Terue finally uncovers the hidden truth behind her mother's past actions.
