Description:

After the Storm is a poignant family drama centering on Ryota, played by Hiroshi Abe, an unsuccessful writer who won a literary award fifteen years ago. To make ends meet, Ryota now works as a private detective while struggling to find his footing in life. He is divorced from his ex-wife Kyoko, portrayed by Yoko Maki, and desperately wants to stay connected to his eleven-year-old son Shingo, played by Taiyo Yoshizawa.
