Description:

Set in Japan during the late 1930s Show Period 14, conflict arises over joining Germany and Italy in a military alliance. Isoroku Yamamoto, who strongly opposes this pact, is appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet. Despite his resistance, the Axis alliance is formed, prompting Yamamoto to lead a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, aiming for an early peace settlement. While the strike causes massive damage, crucial US aircraft carriers escape unharmed. Following initial military advances, the Japanese mainland is attacked by U.S. B25B bombers, leading to a retaliatory Midway operation that ends in devastating failure with the loss of four Japanese aircraft carriers. The conflict intensifies on Guadalcanal, where Japanese forces face starvation, dehydration, and fierce combat. To save lives, Yamamoto orders a withdrawal, subsequently embarking on a morale-boosting flight to the front lines. However, his plane faces intercepting forces from the U.S. military.
