The action-comedy film A Gentleman follows Gaurav Kapoor, a suburban Miami resident wishing to marry his dream woman, Kavya, who prefers a more adventurous partner. Unbeknownst to her, Gaurav has a secret past. Five years earlier, he was Rishi Purohit, a skilled spy for Unit X, a clandestine organization led by Colonel Vijay Kumar Saxena. After attempting to retire, Rishi was betrayed by his colleague Yakub but escaped, adopting the identity of the deceased real Gaurav Kapoor to start afresh. However, his peaceful life in 2017 is disrupted when Unit X tracks him down. Alongside Kavya, Gaurav must utilize his covert skills to survive. After being captured, they escape, and Gaurav confesses his past. To secure their freedom, he hatches a clever plan to retrieve classified data, leading to a deadly confrontation. Rishi ultimately eliminates Yakub and Colonel Vijay, neutralizing Unit X. He and Kavya safely escape to begin a new life together under new identities.
