Description:

Set during the Republic of China, the cunning con man Chen Mu Kun, skilled at impersonating a Taoist priest, finds himself in trouble and flees to Wuzufang Town. There, he brazenly exploits the name of the revered immortal Lu Dong Bin for his deceitful schemes. His audacity catches the attention of Lu Zu, who descends to earth intending to punish him. However, a bizarre turn of events causes Dong Bin to lose his divine powers, forcing him to remain in the mortal world. Taking on the guise of Lei Shi, Dong Bin reluctantly partners with Mu Kun, guiding him toward a righteous path. Together, they navigate the village, solving numerous strange cases. Their intertwined destinies become further complicated by Bai Xue Hua, a brothel girl, leading to entangled relationships. The town faces turmoil as Mayor Xin Hu abdicates, and Mu Kun secretly thwarts the bully Jin Shi Hao from taking office. The new mayor, Xin Zheng Yi, implements reforms based on Shi Hao's past actions, plunging Wuzufang Town into a series of dramatic events.
