"36" introduces Sai, a meticulous location manager renowned for her comprehensive photographic archives, meticulously organized by year. The film opens with Sai and Oom, an art director, meticulously scouting diverse settings for an upcoming feature film. During their intense collaboration, a subtle yet profound connection blossoms between them, fostering a growing warmth. This budding relationship culminates when Oom asks Sai to take their picture together, a simple request imbued with deeper meaning.

Abruptly, the film transitions to its credits, and upon its return, years have passed. Sai is now engrossed in a different cinematic endeavor, urgently needing to access specific photographs from that earlier period. Tragically, she discovers her hard drive has catastrophically failed, imperiling her entire digital archive. As she anxiously awaits news regarding the recovery of her invaluable photos, Sai contemplates a parallel question: can the relationship she once shared with Oom, much like her lost memories, ever be recovered?
